If you have a discrimination complaint, Civil or Human Rights complaint that needs to be investigated, please complete the incident form below.

The Columbus Branch NAACP is not a law firm, does not have a staff of attorneys and does not give legal advice. We will investigate your complaint and determine if we should refer you to the proper agency and or authority to handle your complaint. We do not take complaints over the phone or without the completed incident form. We will only investigate or make referrals for complaints that are for violations within our purview – civil and human rights violations or discriminatory in nature in keeping with our mission statement:

Mission Statement:

The NAACP’s principal objective is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority citizens of the United States and eliminate race prejudice.

If you believe you have a discrimination claim, you MUST file a claim with the appropriate State or Federal agency in a timely manner. Failure to do so may prevent you from pursuing a claim in a court of law.

If you do not live in Columbus Ohio/Franklin County or surrounding cities (i.e. Pickerington, Hilliard, Reynoldsburg, Whitehall, etc.) within Columbus Ohio do not complete the incident form.  Columbus Ohio Branch NAACP does not service matters that happen outside of our area.  To find a NAACP close to you please visit http://www.naacp.org/find-local-unit/.
